Design is not everything, but it somehow gets into almost everything. A compelling reason for taking an interest in design is the fact that we live in a designed world and will never live in any other kind. Some of the designed products we use and depend on most today were hardly able to perform at all in the early stages of their evolution. What should matter even more is the process by which our goods come into being and impact our lives. The talk will demonstrate how by design products can solve problems appropriately as well as effectively.
